About me

I am a postdoctoral research assistant in the research group on autonomous intelligent systems headed by Prof. Dr. Wolfram Burgard.

After studying at the University of Freiburg, I received my diploma in computer science (Dipl.-Inf.) in spring 2007 and a PhD in April 2013 from the University of Freiburg.

Interests

My PhD thesis was about robot navigation in environments with deformable objects. In this context, we were interested in the autonomous acquisition of 3D models including deformation parameters, physical simulation of object deformations, and efficient planning and navigation techniques. Currently, I am investigating how to reconstruct environment models from the observation of human motion.
