About me
My research interest concerns the reflection of cognitive processes in language and is currently focussed on inference processes during the navigation in complex buildings. We collect verbal protocols recorded during wayfinding tasks in real buildings and virtual environments. In this way we obtained a rich corpus of spontaneous situated verbalizations that are analysed with regard to systematic linguistic features of the texts which reflect the wayfinder's process related cognitive states and strategies. Results are interpreted in tandem with performance measures and by consulting the results of controlled psychological experimentation.
